Monkey Tour

The official publication date for Monkey Dancing was May 27, 2003, and the official publication date for the paperback version was June 15, 2004. The book has received wonderful reviews from an eclectic array of publications, including The New Yorker, The Los Angeles Times, USA Today, Outside Magazine and Forbes.com. If your local bookstore is not featuring Monkey Dancing prominently, feel free to bug your local bookstore to do something about that sorry state of affairs.

I have truly enjoyed sharing Monkey Dancing with audiences at lectures, with book groups, and with bookstore audiences. The video program has been met with enthusiasm, and I've enjoyed the Q&A sessions tremendously.

Especially since the cover story in National Geographic on global climate change appeared, I have been asked to speak about the likely impacts of a changing planet on human societies. I have given several talks which I have entitled: "Rising tides, melting glaciers, and a changing planet: Are humans divorcing Mother Nature?"
